Headcanon that in Bajoran culture, it’s generally considered untoward to thank the Prophets for something a person clearly did on their own. Except when you really don’t like that person, and you want to imply that they clearly could not have done that thing without a degree of divine intervention being involved.

okay, but consider: someone else doing this TO Kai Winn

*on the defiant*

Kira, tied to chair: You’ll never get away with this!

Kai Winn: Yes i will! which is why i’m going to tell you my entire plan, fully confident you won’t be able to use this information to derail it in the near future!

Kira: ok.

Kai Winn: The time approaches when the planets align, and the pagh wraiths need a willing vessel to dominate not only bajor, not only the galaxy, but all of reality itself! You see my child, luring dukat to the nebula was never an attempt to assassinate him. He had to watch his allies fall. learn fear, anger, hatred. To become a powerful force of evil and malice! And then, i’ll “save” him, a miracle sent by the pagh wraiths. He will offer himself up to them and become unstoppable!

Kira: he sucks he would do that anyway unprompted

Kai Winn: SILENCE! we are approaching the nebula…

*on the enterprise*

*trombone toot* *trombone toot* *trombone toot* *trombone toot* *LOUD TROMBONE TOOT*

Picard: What is it number one? Have you located Kira Nerys?

*affirmative trombone toot* *LOUD TROMBONE TOOT* *LOUD TROMBONE TOOT*

Picard: commander data, set a course following the trajectory of that trombone.

*on ds9*

Chief O’Brien: what an unexpectedly nice day! nothing broken, no malfunctions, everyone in a good mood. I think I’ll take some time to relax with my family and then go to quark’s :)

*in the nebula*

Carmellasaur: SCREEEEEECHHHH!!!!!

Gul Dukat: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Kai Winn, crashing the defiant through the hull of Dukat’s ship: MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

*she jumps out of the defiant and shoots the carmellasaur with a phaser*

My beloved gul! My slutty malewife! By the grace of the pagh wraiths you are safe!

*Kira escapes the defiant and seeks out the other two carmellasaurs*

Kira: carmellasaurs, hear me! The kai has killed your sister and plans to take over the universe! We must stop her!

The carmellasaurs: RRROAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!

*meanwhile*

Gul Dukat: Kai! Oh adami, I’m so glad to see you. I’ve been through so much. Damar and the weyouns are dead. I’m so tired and hungry.

Kai Winn: I know. You will regain your strength soon. Trust in the pagh wraiths and-

OOHOAOHOHAOHOHOH DANSA MED OSS KLAPPA ERA HÄNDER GÖR SOM VI GÖR TA NÅGRA STEG ÅT VÄNSTER LYSSNA OCH LÄR MISSA INTE CHANSEN NU ÄR VI HÄR MED CARAMELLDANSEN

*In a rainbow of blinding, flashing lights Kira rides in on the back of a carmellasaur. She is holding a gun. She shoots dukat in the head. The carmellasaurs then screech, pounce, rip him apart, and eat him. He is dead.*

Kai Winn: NOOOOO!!!!!!

To Be Continued…

This just keeps getting better and better

DS9, “The Reckoning”

Me when Kai Whinn (spelling??) said ‘since the prophets have never spoken to me, I’ll have to take your word for it’:

Doesn’t the orb interactions count? I think half the crew has had a prophet talk to them. I knew she was a fraud, but she’s that much of a fraud? Why aren’t her escorts reacting to that? She made it all the way to the top of the religious hierarchy by lying about everything. (I’m exmormon, so you can catch me out here thinking about that with this too.)

Me at the end of the episode:

she really meant the prophets have never talked to her. Not even when she was standing in the hallway with one. They looked at her, saw her whole life her every decision she would make, saw right through her .. and decided she wasn’t worth talking to.

Damn.

I. LOVE. THIS. SCENE. I think this the only time in this show where someone tells Winn off for being an unbashedly awful person. This is the only time that someone actually gives her what she deserves. And who puts her in her place??? Is it the station commander, known for his widsom and strength? Is it Kira, personally invested in Winn’s choices because Winn is her political and spiritual leader?? Is it dukat, who simply hates the Bajorans generally? No. It’s Julian. The only person on this whole show who actually puts Winn in her place is Julian. Bashir.

I’m not a Kai Winn stan my fun villain of choice is Weyoun but. When she said out loud to Kira Nerys “stay as long as you need. Even a whole week if you have to” with complete composure like. I think we all respected her after that. Not everyone has the guts to be so brazenly fake. I wish she and Garak had gotten in the same room more I mean they would have Verbally Sparred ™.

Now I kinda want to see fic where Kai Winn decides that Garak should get kicked off the station. This does not go well for her, obviously.

(I’m thinking that this isn’t even about Garak personally, it’s basically just some sort of annoying powerplay on her part aimed at causing problems for the Emissary. It probably involves some posturing about ‘how dare the Federation grant asylum to a Cardassian’ etc. And she just massively underestimates what kind of opponent Garak is. And along the way they are Polite at one another in the most aggravating and passive aggressive way possible.)

#she gives up once dukat shows up and is like hey im on your side and wanna help you get rid of that tailor bitch #then she’s like oh actually never mind. the one (1) cardassian can stay  (@the-last-dillpickle)
