greg gianforte and his campaign are now blaming the “aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist” for this incident and are essentially claiming the reporter body slammed himself

i dont mean to grab for attention but could you guys reblog this? the election is TOMORROW and the gop candidate just SENT A JOURNALIST TO THE HOSPITAL. ive been following the race and the majority of the democratic candidates outreach has been through social media and i havent seen any posts about it yet (because it like just happened) and this is….a very big and scary thing

Jacobs then said he wanted the police called and went to leave. Gianforte looked at the three of us and repeatedly apologized. To be clear, at no point did any of us who witnessed this assault see Jacobs show any form of physical aggression toward Gianforte, who left the area after giving statements to local sheriff’s deputies.“

Why is the disgusting Republican THUG who assaulted this man not in prison right now?

I mean I don’t know how things work in Montana but in places where laws exist, violently physically assaulting someone so badly they are sent to the hospital usually results in the person who assaulted them getting arrested

so let me get this straight: the UK is very pointedly saying ‘please do what you have always done in these situations where a terrorist attack has happened on British Soil and keep the sensitive intelligence we entrusted to you quiet until we give you the go ahead.

okay a lot of people don’t know what i’m talking about, so here’s a link

but the main gist is: trump’s government has leaked to the US press, and thus the world:

- the name of the bomber
- the fucking forensic photos from the investigation

these may seem like small things but first off:

- our government didn’t want to name the bomber until thursday/tuesday, so they could continue their investigation without alerting anyone he may have been working with
- they also didn’t want the media hanging around his family or his flat, which they ended up doing
- they’re the fucking forensic photos of evidence, still covered in blood, is there no such thing as tact

our home sec has been forced to now censor all further intelligence we give to the US on this matter, and has released [what i may call, light heartedly, the most british angry political statement i’ve ever read]

“The British police have been very clear that they want to control the flow of information in order to protect operational integrity, the element of surprise. So it is irritating if it gets released from other sources and I have been very clear with our friends that should not happen again.” 

so in the past two week slaone, trump’s government has managed to reveal intelligence from israel and the uk, two of their closest political and military allies.

In order for disabled people to receive any sort of financial assistant for their housing, food, bills, medical supplies, etc., they cannot ever have more than $2,000 of resources to their name. Ever.

It doesn’t matter what it’s for.

You’re saving up for a new wheelchair?

For college?

To put a downpayment on a house?

Hell man, you just happen to budget for once in your life so that you can have some extra money in case something bad happens?

Your benefits immediately get cut off if you’re a cent over $2,000.

And, even worse, you usually end up having to pay back every dollar the government gave you that month.

So say you get $400. If they find out you’re twenty dollars over the resource limit, you have to give them all $400 back and you undergo an investigation of your funds to see if you will continue getting money.

“What if I spend the money that day?”

Doesn’t matter. In fact, from what I can tell, people who do this are actually put under investigation for fraud.

And yes, this system literally kills people.
