Okay that last one about Meijer though is most likely true. We were there shopping the other day, and the cashier told us that since Meijer is a 24hr store, they legally cannot kick people out. They have assume they are shopping, unless they are causing a serious problem or being violent.
HEY TUMBLR: i know a lot of you are finding the voter pledge thing annoying and that is your right, you can be annoyed by the ballot box gif and the PLEDGE TO VOTE thing
BUT CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: you are an enormous bloc of young, very left-wing, very educated voters, and a high percentage of you are female, pocs, queer, and/or don’t have much money
young people are famous for not voting! and our lack of voting allows major politicians to ignore us, dismiss us, and belittle us— they think they don’t need us.
so tomorrow is a chance for us to show that they do need us. if every person on tumblr who is eligible to vote in the united states goes to the polling station tomorrow OR sends in their absentee ballot, it’s going to make an enormous difference.
so i know tumblr is annoying as fuck— but their heart is in the right place. if i have to live through two more years of a republican congress i’m going to sit under the bed and cry for hours. please, please, please make a difference tomorrow.
