Dead wood portraits. The wood has developed with dehydration in the dry coldness of the subarctic zones, the tree having stopped growing after some 300–400 years, and the tree has remained upright for another few hundred years.

Early spring walk

Another nice day. Another set of tree pictures. I wore a t-shirt and flip flops on this walk in the middle of December! It’s quite breezy today, but I wasn’t cold at all. This weather is nice but also worrisome. December is reminding us that it is mostly autumn. What is January going to bring?
