like on the one hand i love Picard because he’s just such a Good Man. He’s moral, thoughtful, educated, and kind, and basically the epitome of everything Gene Roddenberry thought humanity could aspire to in a utopian, post-scarcity future.

Hey, gay working class and gay rural interests, aesthetics, and culture belong within the wider LGBT+ community. Country music belongs in gay spaces. Camo and trucker caps and work boots belong in gay spaces. Trucks and doorless jeeps and shitty old beaters belong in gay spaces. GEDs and high school educations and blue collar jobs belong in gay spaces. Being broke and looking like shit belongs in gay spaces. The community isn’t owned by the wealthiest San Fransisco and New York gay-geoisie. Their interests, appearances, and beliefs do not define queerness.

not to be dramatic but the new tag filtering tumblr introduced is like the single one good choice this website made and i really hope in time it goes some ways towards changing the culture here some. for years and years we had xkit and tumblr saviour but obviously those don’t work on mobile/apps and that’s where a lot of activity has migrated.

now literally nobody has any excuse not to curate their tumblr experience. one simple, implemented, official blacklisting system that works on mobiles, tablets and PCs via just one setting.

filter your shit. stop yourself from seeing what you dislike and what upsets you, take that responsibility for your own experience instead of trying to force other to accomodate you.
