It’s shitty that large companies keep whitewashing movies, but keep in mind as well that those white actors decided to take those roles. They are just as responsible. It’s not like they are desperate for roles, these are people like Scarlet Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch and Natalie Dormer. They are famous and established actors, they can and should turn down roles that are clearly whitewashed.
