Sometimes people who visit me are surprised that the chickens aren’t afraid of humans and like

Since their birth, humans have been nothing but a source of food and safety to them

The biggest danger posed by a human is the risk that they (the chicken) might get briefly picked up

Why would they be afraid

They’re pet chickens. I have three pet chickens who lay eggs for us. I don’t run a meat chicken farm.

We did lose one chicken (she broke out of the yard, went for a walk and never came home) but no humans were around at the time.

To answer your question though if I did have meat chickens I don’t think they’d make that connection unless it was the only thing humans showed up for. They are very stupid.

We have to chase ours away from the swing if the 4yo is using it because they will stop and graze directly in her swing path. One got kicked, complained about it, and then returned immediately to the same spot.

Also every chicken should be named Hen Solo.
