New show on TNT. Female sailor talking to XO about taking her “girlfriend” to France……and the XO says soothing things that you say to anybody. I used to use “girl friend” to mean, you know friend who’s a female but hey, if this means gay women can talk openly like this with their XOs, I’m all for thinking up a new word. OMG. It was such a nice, neat little moment. Totally natural and unforced.
