Dr. Leonard brutally rips clothes to give a shot McCoy

There may come a day when I do not reblog this gifset…
Today is not that day.

Fun fact, the original series uniforms weren’t just t-shirts (despite how they might look) they were made out of velour and had zippers along the shoulders.
This isn’t bones ripping Kirk’s shirt.
This is de accidentally destroying props/wardrobe but continuing to go through the scene like it was supposed to happen.

the best part is that in the original series, bones is consistently seen administering hypos through shirts! so this was completely unnecessary, and bones is, in fact, a massive drama queen,

Bones, the drama queen - aka DeForest Kelley going ahead with the scene no matter what.

That one time when Spock finally fell for one of Kirk’s conversational traps and accidentally said something that was both a human cliche and an expression of emotion, and even though Kirk totally noticed, he pretended not to because Winona Kirk raised a flirt, not a bully.

RAISED A FLIRT NOT A BULLY

tos misses the mark a lot and roddenberry must rot forever for his crimes but the tarsus iv episode is a rare and chilling instance where they actually take advantage of the fact that the two leads are played by jewish men. watching kirk confront a eugenicist mass murderer he narrowly escaped from as a child after being deemed genetically inferior himself and sentenced to death. spocks impassioned speech about children being ripped from their parents, whole families slaughtered, communities broken. if i had my way you wouldn’t be leaving this room alive. this reflection on this massacre that occurred some 20 years ago being aired…in the 60s
