One thing I gotta say for TNG: Picard gets captured a lot. And it’s! Kinda nice, because they could easily have it be Bev or Troi getting kidnapped all the time, and Picard going on heroic quests to save them, you know?
okay yes compared to ds9 tng is basically an office BUT any time one of the senior staff has a minor inconvenience picard is immediately like “babe you know the entire federation flag ship and its staff are at your disposal we can do this very time sensitive mission next week”
