of course there’s spirk. everyone knows about “Jim!” everyone calls kirk jim. thats what he likes to be called. but spock calls him Jim!. everyone else is a title, a rank, a last name. but Jim! is Jim!. he calls him captain, but when the chips are down, its Jim!

and similiarly for daforge, to data, everyone is captain, commander, doctor, counselor….and geordi is Geordi. maybe it’s because geordi asked. but geordi was the first to ask, and perhaps the last to ask. Geordi is a title in of itself. it means Best Friend

and then you get to garashir and it’s flipped- to almost everyone, julian is just julian. his name. his patients call him doctor bashir, sometimes even just doctor. but garak calls hims Doctor. My Dear Doctor. it is a game, a title, a role to play. and just as only garak knows his Doctor, it is only julian that knows Elim

Time for a dumb spirk headcanon

Jim likes shiny things and will pick up any small shiny object he finds to add to his random collection of small shiny things. This has -never intentionally of course- gotten the crew of the enterprise into trouble on more than one occasion because Jim picked up something he shouldn’t. The engineering crew has learned to keep all important nuts, bolts, screws, etc. out of reach of the captain because he might take them not realizing they’re important.

Spock doesn’t understand why Jim feels the need to do this, but he has started gathering shiny things to give to Jim. Of course he actually checks to make sure they aren’t important first. He has even asked Scotty to give him any broken screws and bolts that he won’t be able to use.

Every time Spock shows up and gives Jim like a little bottle cap or something Jim just gets this big grin and rushes off to put into his box of shiny things. And now Spock is just addicted to Jim’s smile and can’t stop giving him shiny objects.
