the velvet-fronted nuthatch is a small bird found in southern asia. like other nuthatches, they forage for insects hidden in tree bark by hopping and scurrying up and down the tree. they create nests in tree cavities, often already formed by species such as woodpeckers and barbets. the male of the species can be distinguished by the black stripe above and behind the eye.
Had to look that up, large, silver fish with big scales. I am very impressed!
still has more scales than I use, but that’s because I stylize and fudge anatomy for what looks best to me. This is something you get to do when you know WHAT rules you are breaking.
