Some places are voting early, and if you are pissed off at Trump’s….everything here is where you hit him back, voting in these elections.  If you know anybody from these states, let them know, this is is how the Tea Party fought back in 2009, now it is our turn.  

First off Delaware’s 10th State Senate District

Democrats will lose control of the State Senate if they lose one more seat to Republicans, making the 10th district crucial. The district is very close, won by an incumbent Democrat in 2014 by only 267 votes.

The election will be held on February 25th, with Democrat Stephanie Hansen facing off against Republican John Marino and Libertarian Joseph Lanzendorfer.“

Secondly we have Georgia’s 6th U.S. Congressional District

The 6th District leans Republican, but a strong Democratic primary is mobilizing the community early. The presence of well-resourced campaigns and the variability of special elections make this district flippable.

Election date is pending Tom Price’s appointment to Trump’s cabinet. Let’s elect a Democrat to replace him.”

Finally, Michigan’s 31st State Senate District
Michigan will be a key state in the 2020 presidential elections. By flipping Michigan’s state legislature—beginning with this seat—we can significantly improve our chances in 2020. The chance for upsets in well-resourced special elections makes this a target race.

Three elections in the next 100 days, all of which can serve as the first step to taking our country back from absolute madness.

sunday, january 29th, 2017, 12:30pm PST. the reason i’m putting timestamp on this is because it’s a time sensitive issue and with any luck, will be an irrelevant post within a day. 

so here goes nothing. one of my family’s friends has been detained. he had come to america with the intention of visiting his son, who he hasn’t seen in over a decade. once he got here, however, all of his documents were confiscated and he himself was deported to dubai with the promise that his possessions would be waiting for him there.

once he got there, however, he found that there were no documents, no luggage, nothing. he asked for a translator (he speaks farsi) and instead got physically assaulted. he is now being detained.

please, if any of you know ANYONE in dubai who can go to the airport and find him, MESSAGE ME. bonus points if they can be a pro-bono translator.

all he wants right now is a kind touch. he hasn’t been treated with anything but cruelty for the past several hours.

In the face of communication lockdowns of US scientific agencies, here is my formal invitation for whistle-blowing scientists to contact me. Particularly if the agency for which you work is being censored or threatened and you have something to say. Please share this info.

Regardless of what type of science you do or represent, I can either write about your story or connect you with someone else who specializes in that field. If you need to, you can be anonymous, although it helps to be on the record, and it would also help if you would prove your affiliation/expertise to the news agency itself, at least. I will not publish or reveal your identity without your consent.
