My rock jar! for @cups-of-tea-and-history and anyone else who’s interested. it usually lives on my desk, and from time to time a couple of rocks live in my pocket.

a) photographing rocks is hard

b) i had those white background pics for a while but i seemed to have lost one! i could kick myself. there’s one showcasing “misc” stuff from the jar (like a jade snake, or a rock from loch ness) and the most shiny of my rocks ;< labradorite, moonstone etc. although those are Extra Hard to photograph. maybe i should do little gifs..? i’ll go through the jar again when new stuff arrives and take pics of the remaining bits

c) my brain is a sieve, so there are days where i could name all these but it’s not today. i could do some probably, you might get lucky?

i also have a beautiful sparkly citrine but it lives in my portable Apollon shrine and i’d feel weird to just.. show it off, you know? (there’s also a clear quartz point in there and a gravel bit from my grandfather’s grave. other stuff too, but that’s the minerals).
