22% of the corals on the reef have died. The remaining 78% is not dead. So stop reading that (unsourced and heartstring-pulling) article, accepting its death and giving up because there’s nothing to be done, because this isn’t the case. The reef is still hanging on, and what we need to do is increase protection of what’s left and try to stop what’s killing it in the first place, not give up everything because a writer told us it’s dead. BECAUSE IT’S NOT DEAD.
