I was out until 1am getting pokemon so i’ll explain the difference between day time hunting and night time hunting

  • Pokemon are harder to catch at night, they’re usually at a higher level or just fucking bitchy at night, i feel that.
  • i didn’t see an increase in ghost pokemon but okay.
  • The servers didn’t crash
  • There was an increase in rare pokemon
  • Roads are less busy so if you are driving and trying to find a long distance pokemon it’s easier to get around and tell your driver last second that there was a vulpix back there. ( we didnt find it ://////)
  • everyone we saw out and about were pokemon hunting lmao
  • god damn fucking zubats were everywhere

Earlier my husband and I were driving around looking for Pokemon and we found ourselves in a nice neighborhood surrounding a lake and we could see there was a ton of really good Pokemon close by the water. So I ask him if he wants to get out and walk around and he’s like ‘uuh I don’t think so.’ And he points to this lady just standing by her mailbox staring at us with literal sparks coming out of her eyes. And that’s when I realize that my black husband is too worried that walking around in a white neighborhood looking for Pokemon might cost him his life. And if you’re a white person and don’t think that something is wrong with that then something is wrong with you. Also if you have any black children in your family please talk to them and make sure they’re safe when playing this game. It’s scary out there.

Anonymous: Hey, I don't know if you knew this but you can see who placed the lure by taping on it in the pokestop screen. So if you notice that some one continuously places lures at odd hours and obscure places you can be wary of them and warn other players to this suspicious activity. The best scenario is that some one meets this person and finds out why they place their lures in odd locations at odd hours. Worst is they're a criminal and you can report them to Niantic and/or the police.

That’s a great observation. We try to remind people to be wary. Thanks for bringing it up! :)
