It’s funny to listen to Micheal Westmore talk about designing the Cardassians as something mean, and cold, and slimy
and then the audience is just like: dang, that lizard is hot.

There would have a whole underground network??? That they would somehow hide from the Order? Like oh we thought the dissidents hide fairly well, but they could learn a thing or two from the shippers lmao.

More of my headcanon for Cardassian child development
Young Cardassians are natural climbers. This was extremely helpful in the early years to avoid ground dwelling predators. Their mottled pattern (that fades before adulthood) breaks up their shape against the tree.
This also means infants will just naturally cling to their parent’s (or other adult’s) back. Adults will curl their tail up to keep the infant from just falling (if you’ve been around babies, you know), and to protect them.
However!
This means modern urban toddlers have a whole lot of climbing urges and nothing but those nice curtains to scale. Toddlers would probably have cat trees instead of playpens

I do! I *am* biased, but I love the curves and the spikes. I wish I knew exactly which sector this was supposed to be.

Here a Cardassian, there a Cardassian, look at all these Cardassians! Also known as Mila Verse Post-Canon Cardassia Crew. Of all these guys I think I’m proudest of how Pythas Lok turned out. Originally Kelas was going to be the last one I drew, but there was all that space in that lower right corner…so I drew Mila’s adopted son who she names “Tekeny Bashir” after her surrogate Grandfather.
The ages aren’t necessarily at the same time, except for Sosia & Talam, who are the same age. And because I didn’t want to do any sort of math on when any of the adults were born, they all gave evasive answers to the question.
I think after this I’ve finally gotten the hang of drawing Cardassians…
