Answers to some of the questions posted by counting-dollars-counting-stars and hxans.

I skipped some of the ones I didn’t have good answers for, because I’m a cheater.

1.  What Scifi tv show would  you like to be thrown into?
The choice would be between Sg-1 and Doctor Who. Both allow travel to other worlds, although the Doctor is somewhat better at the time travel thing. Both worlds also seem quite capable of keeping people alive no matter what is thrown at them. Heck, what am I saying, I could never pass up the chance to meet the Doctor. Sorry, Daniel.

2.  Where do you see yourself being in 5 years?
Argh, out of this damned apartment, please?? I don’t know, really. James will be seven years old and in school most of the day. Billy will probably be managing a store by then. Maybe I’ll be doing this Medical Coding thing. I hope to be a much better cook and have a cleaner house and a dog and a happy family and my driver’s license. 

3.  What would hurt the most to be told from someone about you?
That all the horrible things I tell myself about myself are actually true. That no one really wants to talk to me or spend time with me or takes me seriously.

4.  Would you rather go camping or sailing?
Camping. I hate boats and have an intense fear of deep water and drowning. The only boat I really feel comfortable on is a pontoon.

5.  What is your most loved possession?
My laptop.

6.  What have you spend money on and then regretted?
So. Many. Things. I have terrible buyer’s remorse.

7.  Have you ever gone on vacation alone?
No.

8. Which fictional universe would you want to live in most?
Middle Earth, particularly Ithilien. Even in its beaten down partially evil-infested condition, it sounds beautiful.

9. What’s your favourite game to play, on which console/device?
Does Words with Friends count?

10. Why do/don’t you like posting selfies?
I am paranoid about putting my face online in any place other than my Facebook, and I hate any and all pictures of myself. I don’t feel how I look, if that makes sense.

11. Who is an actual living person you would like to meet that you haven’t met yet?
Well I would love to meet all my online friends in person. That would be awesome. As for a celebrity, maybe Wil Wheaton? He seems like a cool guy. I actually have this belief that if Billy and I got to have dinner with the Wheatons, we would really have fun. But I’m not going to ask them for an invitation, because that is creepy and wrong.

12. What pet peeve has annoyed you most recently?
WHY I NO HAVE HOUSE? WHY I NEED TO GIVE NOTICE SO SOON WHEN NO ONE ELSE DOES? WHY HOUSE HUNTING SO HARD? WHY WE SO POOR? ARGH!

13. What’s the weather like where you live just now?
Beautiful. Sunny and 73F with a nice light breeze. 

14. What movie do you want to see next in theatres?
Maleficent or Guardians of the Galaxy, whichever is first.

15. What movie do you want to see next at home?
TV show, but I would love to get up-to-date on Doctor Who.

16. What is a recipe you know be heart?
Stuffed peppers. Let me know if any of you want the recipe. It’s a bit of a cheat in parts, but it is so delicious.

17. Where do you plan on visiting in the next year?
Oh gods, probably nowhere. We don’t travel much. I mean, the next town over doesn’t really count, does it? I haven’t been out of state since 2011 when we went to Indiana for my cousin’s wedding.

18. Would you rather accidentally send a NSFW selfie to your celeb crush or your favourite parent/mentor?
Celeb crush b/c though I would feel horrible about traumatizing them for life, I wouldn’t have to actually see or interact with them ever again.

    If you could visit any other country in the world, which would you choose and why?
I can only pick one? That’s impossible.

    Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings?
Tolkien will always win. Harry Potter is like that fun friend that you love to invite to parties and go on adventures with sometimes, but Middle Earth is home.

    What do you like most about yourself?
I can memorize songs and poems rather easily. I can recite Sam’s poem about Gil-Galad from memory, and can sing quite a few songs from memory even without the music.

    Do you have a favourite number? If so, what is it?
It is tempting to say 42, but truthfully I didn’t really like that book. I think I used to have a favorite number, but I can’t remember what it is now.
I guess I don’t have one.

    If you could bring one tv show off hiatus right now, which one would you choose and why?
Hiatus as in ‘on a break between seasons’ or as in 'cancelled never to be seen again’? For the first it is a tie between Agents of SHIELD and Bones. Both shows ended on a bit of cliffhanger with beloved characters left in hospital beds and with horribly uncertain futures. I blame Chris Carter.
As far cancelled shows, I’m probably required to say Firefly, but since I’m a bit stubborn and rebellious, I’ll say Pushing Daisies. It was such
a fun cute show! There’s so much more they could have done with it.

    Do you like thunderstorms?
I love thunderstorms as long as they behave and don’t turn into tornadoes or very severe storms that knock out power and make me afraid in my third floor apartment.

    Paper books or e-books?
Paper books are more fun to buy and hold and smell. E-books are easier to store and more convenient to carry around. They both appeal to different parts me.

    Have you ever written fanfiction?
Back when I was in college, I did in fact write some rather awful Remus/Sirius fanfiction which will never again see the light of day. I’m really not a writer although I do like to pretend sometimes.

    Which of your OTPs would be most likely to win the Hunger Games?
Beren and Luthien. After all they endured in their fights against Morgoth and his minions, whatever the Hunger Games people created would pale in comparison.

    What’s your favourite colour?
Cerulean blue. It’s a beautiful color and an X-Files reference all in one!

    Ice cream or frozen yoghurt?
Ice cream all the way, especially when it’s coffee flavored or mint chocolate chip or brownie fudge with salted nuts.
