The noble Klingon battle hen! Said to be the most dangerous beast on Qo’nos, only the bravest warriors attempt to tame this beast, but it makes a hell of way to ride into battle
By Kahless this can’t be happening!
@tirlaeyn lol I too always hear the name Kahless and think it’s a feminine name but in my case I think it’s bc of Kethry and Kerowyn from Heralds of Valdemar (the names are all next door to each other in my head)
hopeful-trekkie-deactivated2022:
I watched “By inferno’s light” and it was incredible to see the Klingon’s response to Garak’s struggle with claustrophobia:
General Martok: there is no greater enemy than one’s own fears.
Mr. Worf: It takes a brave man to face them.I was absolutely floored when I heard it. Many people would assume that in a society like Klingon’s society people who struggle with mental health would be considered weak, fragile, and unworthy. But these two lines, combined with their respectful facial expressions, prove that, canonically, it is exactly the opposite.
The greater enemy that a Klingon warrior can fight against is their own fears, mental health struggles are the biggest struggles a Klingon warrior can face. It takes great bravery to engage in what triggers your anxiety: you are not a coward for having anxiety, you are dauntless for refusing avoidance. This is canonically what Klingon warriors think.
Excuse me while I flutter about in joy for the acknowledgment that a group of tough, hard-bitten, gritty Klingons warriors would tell me how proud they are of me for my ongoing battle against depression and anxiety while we share a drink on DS9.
I would cry ngl
thinking about how klingon courting works by the female roaring and throwing heavy objects and the male reading love poetry
gay klingons:
lesbian klingons:
Do gay Klingons ever get frustrated/dejected because their gentleman caller hasn’t so much as kicked a pebble their way or uttered the slightest growl?
Do questioning Klingons ever show their crush their poetry, only to have their crush assume that he’s helping them proofread or something?
Is there ever an issue where a lesbian Klingon tries very awkwardly to recite poetry to her lady love?
Or instances where two lesbians are basically beating the shit out of each other and both thinking “I know she thinks this is just a regular old gal fight, but no, seriously, I’m trying to declare my intentions here”?
Are there euphemisms for LGBT Klingons? “Don’t try to win her over, Riker. She reads poetry.”
This one of the best things I’ve ever read
