garak: mY dEaR dOcToR, i’ve received a most unusual anonymous order in my shop! this rather mysterious customer has requested as follows: apple bottom jeans, boots WITH “the fur”, baggy sweatpants, and reeboks WITH “the straps”! i simply can’t make heads or tails of it. why, i don’t even know what a reebok is!
jake and nog: *giggling from their promenade perch*
The Dream Team pt 2
Ziyal, the child of two worlds that hate each other. Poor thing didn’t feel accepted by any of them.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine “What You Leave Behind” (airdate 06.02.1999)
Jake and Ziyal would have been perfect.
So I truely believe a massive opportunity was missed, and obviously *spoilers* if you haven’t watched up to season 6 of DS9.
If Ziyal had of come into the show slightly earlier then there could have been this fun period before Nog leaves for Starfleet where Jake, Nog and Ziyal are the mischief making trio on the station.
There could have been cool scenes where they cause trouble in the promenade and Odo chases them while they giggle and run. They duck into Garaks shop to hide and that’s when Ziyal meets him.
Garak and Ziyal would have had a more father daughter relationship where Garak tries to show her the love and acceptance that he never got from Tain.
Ziyal challenged Nogs sexism and proves through her rebellious spirit that she can be “one of the boys”.
During high tensions during the war Jake comforts Ziyal and suggests she do an art piece to bring people together. She then asks Kira and Sisko if she can do an art mural on the promenade to show togetherness and inclusivity on the station!
Kira takes Ziyal to Bajor for a religious festive and Jake goes with them to find “writing inspiration” THEY KISS UNDER THE COLOURFUL LIGHTS OF FIREWORKS!!!!
On their first date Garak and Kira spy on them to make sure it goes well and it allows Garak and Kira to bond over something and hate each other less!
Jake and Ziyal do art together all the time, they exchange books and go to art shows on the holo suite! They could even have an episode where they reenact Romeo and Julliet oh my god!!!!
Anyways then when Ziyal eventually dies in sacrifice of angels the emotions would just be so… oh my god. I can imagine Nog arriving back at the station and hugging Jake glad they are reunited and the first things he says is “where’s Ziyal?” And Jake just starts WEEPING into Nogs arms and when Nog realises she’s dead he starts crying too!
There would be a funeral service under her art mural and Jake would write a speech about what she stood for and what she represented for Bajor, the federation and Cardassia. About how she saw a world where everybody could come together in peace and harmony and how her memory should be honoured for it!
Man you could even have in the episode where Dukat and Sisko are trapped in the cave Dukat says “we were almost related by marriage you know? I would have liked to see that, Jake is a good boy and he would have made my daughter very happy” and Sisko agrees and says “we may not always get along but I would have gladly accepted you as apart of my family just to call her my daughter. She was an amazing young woman”
Ahhh oh my fucking god we were robbed, we were robbed, we were robbed!!!!
toomuchkali-fal-deactivated2022:
More Ziyal thoughts, I think they should explored her and her art more and the fact that she wanted to join bajorans and cardassians together, I loved that idea
Also my girl Ziyal didn’t need a love interest, but besides garak I like the idea I’ve seen of her with Jake sisko, they are closer in age, and have the arts in common.
Maybe jake could have wrote a piece about her art and how she wanted to unite both her peoples and things go from there or they just become friends!!! Bc both jake and ziyal needed more friends :)
I always felt that Jake and Ziyal should have been friends. They probably would have had the best talks about art and writing!
Yes they would have made a good couple but also just imagine the DRAMA of it all?? Dukat’s daughter and Sisko’s son??
I made too many of these. ….
In fair Terok Nor, where we lay our scene
A Romeo and Juliet version for a Jakeziyal Art Trade with @tali-zorahs
this was SO much fun
continuation of this post– Kira and Garak decide to use their ex-spy/ex-guerrilla fighter skills to
stalkkeep a protective watch over Ziyal on her first date. Jake Sisko might be the Captain’s son, but he’s still a human, and who knows what kinds of ideas humans have about dating??
