Jadzia Lives
I refuse. I get what they wanted to do with Ezri, but it just felt like a gap stop to avoid dealing with 1) the chemistry between Bashir and Garak; 2) Worf and Jadzia becoming ‘too domestic’ and 3) the war not striking close enough to home.
First of all, Worf and Jadzia having a kid would’ve been spectacular. There’s so much drama — so many opportunities with life during war, etc.
Second of all, nothing NOTHING could hide the chemistry between Bashir and Garak. Ziyal was a vibrant character who was posed as Garak’s love interest, but she had her own story, and if Ezri came along with a different symbiote, there’s a chance she’d be just as good in her own right, but she was Dax.
That meant that a possibly interesting character not only was placed to intercede to block a gay relationship which made 100% sense on screen and had the full support of both actors but was replacing (directly, not indirectly) a lead that had been a fan favorite.
I can’t properly judge if I’d have like Ezri if she wasn’t Dax or if they hadn’t used her to blockade Bashir/Garak. They put a lot on her, and I don’t think she managed it. Not fully. She wasn’t unlikeable. The writing was, so there’s at least.
So — I refused. Jadzia didn’t die. Ezri continued her non-joining life that she wanted (not being forced because she was the only one available), and Worf/Jadzia got their beautiful Trill-Klingon child.
And Bashir got off his ass and swept a certain 'simple tailor’ off his feet.
Yep. That’s correct.

Dear diary
Today is Jadzia and Worf’s wedding. They are so in love and it means so much to see them building a life together with all their friends there to love and support them.
I hope one day it’ll be me and Garak promising to love each other forever.
Then Garak can invite Worf to his bachelor party.
Garak says it’s traditional for attendees to perform a pageant of the groom’s family history, complete with acrobatics, costumes, and interpretive dance. I can’t wait to make Worf do that.
Okay but Rom singing “To Be With You” to Leeta after her break up from Julian.
