There is genuinely no surprise that queer people and especially trans people feel a deep connection to the Hannibal protagonists when the whole show is about the fear of being seen for who you are, the shame of being something you can’t change and trying to fit in at first, only to meet someone who isn’t ashamed and doesn’t want you to be either. Who encourages you to be yourself and not ashamed anymore. To choose to transform into something else that you see as beautiful and that you love and to be loved for that, but that the rest of “normal” society still wants to shame you for and sees as something aberrant. That it’s serial murder and cannibalism in the show really just makes it sexier
