six weeks from my surgery consult is April 7th. I will likely hopefully hear back from my surgeon’s office this week about whether or not my insurance has accepted the pre-auth.

I already know my blood pressure is gonna spike whenever I get a call.

I really hope they call and I don’t have to wait another week or longer

One piece of evidence for my headcanon that Julian and Data keep in good contact and work on projects together long-distance? (Which is heavily used in my fics).

In “DS9: Life Support”, Julian uses positronic brain implants to try to save Bareil. Who does he know as the only person who has a positronic brain? Someone who he stated interest in at least writing a paper on?

So I’m thinking Julian and Data were already working on this long-term project together. Then Bareil’s situation happens, where nothing else is working, so Julian is like “well, guess I’ll try this.”

And I checked Memory Alpha and Beta to see if there were other uses of this idea in the shows and beta canons. This is the only instance.

When I was a kid, I was really enamored a handful of local radio stations–the DJs were hilarious and really nice and would play songs for you, but my favorite thing was this thing one of them did called the 5:20 Primal Scream.

Every day at 5:20 he would take a random caller and let them shriek their head off on the air. No opinions or venting or anything like that, just wordless screaming. Often these were people in traffic or just getting off work. And you got some really adorable people being all “YRAERGH” and then giggling and feeling better after

And I remember one guy who just went “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” for like half a minute and the DJ was like “holy crap you’re like some kind of tornado siren”. I think about that guy sometimes.

And I think about that DJ. I hope he’s doing okay.
