I have this theory that maybe he somehow woke Bruce up so that he could call an ambulance. I mean, it seems like a bit of a coincidence that Bruce just happened to walk into the room.
I like this idea. Mostly because I hate the idea that this guy is just another cold-hearted ass. It seems somewhat likely also based on his pointing out that Bruce is a good kid to the Wayne Corp people.
