bitches be sucking farts there

Found the source of the infographic that explains how the results were obtained!

Curious about CO being skunk? So am I. I went deeper and broke CO down to counties. Arapahoe County is the only one to be mostly Skunk. The data has, for some reason, Arapahoe getting 100s of "Skunk furry" searches a month which, on a state level, is more than the others. pic.twitter.com/War8zodpWO — Riley RiRi Winters (@Horsefur1) November 11, 2020

there’s sixteen Colorado counties that their most searched was “wolf furry”, plus thirty-odd counties (not counting either Arapahoe or any of the ones marked here as “Insufficient Data”) which may well have had plenty of searches for “wolf furry”, just fewer than for whatever they’re labeled here

and “skunk furry” searches in Arapahoe County outnumbered “wolf furry” searches in the entire state of Colorado

something tells me Skunks Georg

my friend just asked me if I knew about the furry violence case and didn’t reply when I asked him which one so I went to look it up and I guess not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they wear their fursonas???????????????

Furries have that extra layer of armor; they are ready to throw down more-so than anyone else.

Fursuits = 21st century armor?

Hey so listen,

I don’t like making fun of furries to begin with, especially since they’re not all as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. But definitely, don’t lean on the horn with Violent J.

If you don’t know, Violent J is the leader of Insane Clown Posse. His daughter is a furry. Despite his notoriety, J isn’t rich at all. So you can imagine when his daughter ordered a fur suit and essentially got scammed (which, by the way, as someone who makes stuffed animals from time to time and alters clothes here and there– faux fur is pretty expensive if it’s the good kind. An entire suit out of the shit is a whole ass arm) they were pissed.

But instead of J just kinda shrugging it off or shaming her for being trickers or whatever, the man made a whole call out video to the company and set it up like a show.

So gawk if you want, but just know, Violent J is a supportive dad and I gotta give my props to him. I know I wish my guardian or mom would’ve gotten at least a bit interested when I went to my first anime con. It’s good to see he’s standing behind her like this.

also his suit’s name is Kung Fu Joe and that’s fuckin great

fr anyone who reblogged this being mean will die tonight

sorry to be cringey but can we stop this idea that every furry is a sex hungry freak that likes bestiality and has really disturbing kinks. being a furry is just thinking anthropomorphic animals are interesting and cute. theres nothing inherently sexual about being a furry. just because someone says “im a furry” they arent necessarily confessing to you how they get horny for foxes with tits or diapers on dogs or something. so when u see someone make a fursona or draw an anthro animal, dont immediately think “they wanna fuck animals”. sometimes its just that….anthro animals….are fun to draw.

basically,

literally what is so bad about this

Also a lot of furries are literal children

Also, furries are one of the best and most generous when it comes to supporting artists. When they commission an artist to draw something, they as a group tend to pay the best rates and be the most reliable.

Also furry communities are overwhelmingly queer - like statistically, I mean, just for example, the number of transgender furries is ten times higher than the general population, and like only 1 in 4 furries are straight.

Which is like? Firstly, not a surprise that something steeped in alter-ego resonates for queer people, especially trans people.

And secondly, also super not surprising that it’s a community that is massively oversexualized and denigrated as sexually deviant. Like, js it’s a tale as old as time to target an overlapping interest group as a guise to target a minority demographic.

And targeting sexual shaming at queer-dense populations, hah! HAH, I’m not surprised.

I’m not even goddamn kidding, seriously. A huge chunk of bullying directed at the furry community is just socially acceptable queerphobia.

Don’t forget that a lot of furry hate is just rebranded hatred for autistic people, who are a decent sized chunk of the furry community.

This blog loves and supports furries!!

At my local—VERY LARGE—con, I saw a toddler wander off from his mom, who was way too absorbed in a photoshoot. The shoot booth happened to be near an escalator, so I’m like trying to get across a rather small atrium with like two hundred people in it so I could catch this kid before he went head first into moving machinery.

There was a furry between me and the kid. A big technicolor liger cub who bore more than a little resemblance to the yellow fellow up there.

And this particular furry plopped down on the ground between the kid and the escalator—which had to take A LOT of coordination, between the head and the paws—and started a game of peekaboo.

And then managed to divert the kid well away from the escalator and into a safe part of the atrium all while remaining within sight of the mom, for easy kid return once she stopped being an idiot.

Also, let’s not forget when a fur con and a refugee relocation group were scheduled into the same hotel on the same weekend, and the furries chose to spend time playing and taking pictures with the refugee kids as a way to welcome them to Canada and kind of give them a little escape from, well, ESCAPING—a gentler entry into their new home. The blogs reporting it widely reported that the children thought they were “living cartoons” and had a BLAST.

Furries are an important part of the geek community. Leave them be.
