Hundreds of plumbers travel to Flint to help out for free
Hundreds of plumbers from across the United States traveled to Flint, Michigan, to help out embattled residents on Saturday. It’s a heartwarming episode in what has otherwise been a nightmare saga for the city of 99,000. The plumbers’ work could be a game changer for Flint residents.
Judge orders door-to-door water delivery for Flint residents
A federal judge has ordered bottled water must be delivered to Flint residents unless officials can prove there is an operating, properly-installed water filter in their home.
Some good news for y’all. The ACLU won a victory the other day in Flint Michigan. What do you want to bet that the cost of having to supply residents with clean water will inspire change pretty quickly?

Judge rules Flint residents can sue Michigan over water crisis
On Thursday, Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Mark T. Boonstra, the presiding judge over Michigan’s Court of Claims, ruled that the citizens of Flint, Michigan, have the right to sue the state and state officials because of the water crisis there.

It is just unconscionable that this could be allowed to happen and all I hear in national news outlets is about well off folks some billionaires trying to gain more power. Clean water is a basic human right! It’s a damn shame some go without. #Hate it!
I’m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got it’s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and it’s not just lead! it’s coliform bacteria! it’s THMs! it’s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising and petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and it’s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem
