I know First Contact was WILD in canon already because handshakes are like… super intense smooches for Vulcans, but can you imagine how crazy it would have been if it was still in vogue to greet important people like this:
Zefram Cochrane would have kissed that Vulcan’s hand with his lips (because he knows royalty when he sees it) and poor Solkar would have fainted on the spot.
