#the wire #it shows how much their relationship has developed and how much julian really cares for garak #but it also shows the depth of julians compassion and empathy. the fact that he will forgive this man for all his heinous acts - #- just because he is in so much pain and suffering. and because julian wants to take that away #and the way garak is dying and all he wants is for someone to forgive him?? how he believes himself not deserving of it but craves it anyway #much like garak believes himself unworthy of love but craves THAT as well. craves understanding but cannot tell the truth #literally they r driving me insane!!! #ds9 #garashir #star trek

wait speaking of tng and ds9 characters who should meet. I think garak and data would be SUCH a funny pair. like. garak has obviously heard julian speak at length about how kind and handsome and technologically miraculous data is so he’s like oh okay new arch-nemesis just dropped.

but then he actually meets data and data just. does not fall for any of his catty baiting statements, innuendos, or double entendres? he just responds genuinely when garak pointedly asks how tight data wants the collar of his uniform. garak is flummoxed like he’s never been before by this completely guileless extremely polite android.
