An adult man with an uncontrollable attraction to adult women who finds it hard not to act on his desires to jerk off to and/or grope them – or talk about it openly – would be called a creep and a rapist, and wouldn’t get sympathy among rational groups, but an adult can have the exact same obsession with children and suddenly it’s a ~~mental illness~~ and I’m ableist for telling them they are disgusting evil fucks.

 Even though they were ~~non offending~~, the pedophiles who abused me still destroyed my mental health and gave me debilitating trauma I will never get over. Adults who are attracted to minors are not mentally ill, they’re perverted fucks who get off on the innocence and lack of power of children. They love the power dynamic where a child is either too scared, too uninformed, or too weak to say no. They love the easy access to dominance and power they can have over minors.

Pedophiles (and I mean MAPs and all the sugary names they give themselves) are all cordially invited to die in a ditch and I don’t care about the ~~moral purity~~ of that statement. If you disagree, block me and never look at me again. Call me out. Put me on an anti list. I don’t give a fucking shit. 

Also, on a note, “non offending” pedophiles who interact with children and talk to children about sex, purposefully expose children to sexual conversations and rps and porn, that talk to children and form friendships with children and talk to them about being a pedophile, who fucking groom children into having sympathy for them, are NOT “non offending”.

You are putting children at risk, you are getting off on these interactions, you are abusing these children, you are giving them scars they will struggle to heal from and struggle to accept.

“Grooming children into having sympathy for pedophiles” – Oh my god that defines like 99% of my problem here.

Stop telling children to sympathize with pedophiles. Stop telling them not to “discriminate” against them – which is literally refusing to interact with them and making sure no one else interacts with them, which is exactly what minors should be doing. 

This whole “pedophilia as mental illness” discourse is literally pedophiles and apologists using SJ-esque language to pressure children into accepting pedophiles into their lives. Christ.

So I was at the pharmacy and needed to ask one of the pharmacists some questions about my birth control as I had switched to a new medication. I walk over to the consultation window, pills in hand, and some man arrives at the pick-up window, which is right next to it. 

Because at least one mention of menstruation is necessary to discussions about the pill, I unashamedly started to talk to the female pharmacist who was no more uncomfortable than I in getting my questions answered.

However, the man at the window seemed offended by my concerns about my feminine health, saying as an aside to the person behind him that “there is a time and a place for that gutter talk”.

NO FUCKING SHIT, MISTER. THIS IS THE FUCKING PLACE. I thought to myself, mortified not because of the conversation but because this man thought he ought to shame me for this. I exchange a look with the pharmacist, who seems to be having the same thought. Raising her voice slightly above what was considered necessary in a quiet CVS, she pressed for more details on my period, which I happily obliged to supply. And I am POSITIVE the woman assisting him took her damn time just so he would be subjected to imagery about consistency, flow, and duration of my last three periods.

Menstruation is not a dirty word and I will BE DAMNED if a man wants to police it, especially when IT DIRECTLY CONCERNS MY HEALTH, because it makes him feel uncomfortable. I can’t help having a period, but you can help being an ignorant son of a bitch.
