the reason i so dislike the whole “julian vs. section 31” storyline is that i so enjoy the storylines where julian is just being, like, a doctor. like the episodes that show off how dedicated and compassionate he is are his best episodes! and honestly it feels like the writers got bored of that or just didn’t have any more ideas for it (despite him being a combat medic in a war) so they just had him spin off into opposing this super secret black ops organization seemingly for no bigger reason than he likes spy stories and it’s just! it does NOT compel me. opposite of the meme.
