the sound of her wings
Observation: when Dream feeds the pigeons, from the birds’ perspective a huge, black pigeon is handing out free food.
coming out of his cage, doing not fine
the fact that the embodiment of the collective human unconscious feeds the birds like an old man is so goddamn delightful somebody play him that scene from mary poppins
Things I ponder: Is the reason why Dream looks so close to tears in the series is due to him feeling more than he ever lets on? He can see everyone’s dream and I’m certain to feel the emotions that come from them. Not to mention, he doesn’t sleep. (I have been told this is canon in the comics. I haven’t gotten to that point myself.) Anyways, I’m wondering if he still feels actual exhaustion. The stress of holding everything in and just moving forward.
Let’s not forget Dream is prideful. He wouldn’t even ask for help if he needed it. His brother, Destiny has confirmed this. Like Dream would have gotten upset had his siblings come to help because he wasn’t able to help himself.
He’s so. Ugh. I love him.
Something Abt the way dream could have justβ¦disappeared into a swirl of sand but no. He chose to walk off bc he wanted a dramatic scene in the rain.
