Still no word back from my hubby’s work about when he’ll be going back to work. He’s applying at some places in our town and in the one to the south of us.
Unfortunately, we need new tires for the car (one just blew last week and we bought a used one, but the others are becoming very bald (wires sticking out, etc). This is our only vehicle, so it’s kind of a necessity if he’s going to even GET to work if any of the places he’d applied call him back.
And it’s my oldest child’s birthday in ten days.
AND our printer conked out and a replacement is needed. (I use it daily for the kids’ homeschooling and such).
I know I’ve been asking for nothing but help lately, but I opened up commissions, so at least it’s not just me begging for change again…

i have no idea how to start this, but i’ve reached a point where i don’t have a choice anymore. my dad is about to lose his job in two months and his leg is injured. soon he won’t be able to work, which means i will have to start supporting our family. i have about $430 due in rent by february, i need about $200 for textbooks, and i have to pay the rest of my tuition, which is about $342. i currently have $30 in my bank account, and i still need to buy groceries and gas for myself.

(Some info about myself: I have a B.Ed. in Spanish and Literature, and I’m currently working as a news editor)
The following is a lot to take in, but bare with me.
As some of you may know, Venezuela is in a deep economic, political, and humanitarian crisis due to the low oil prices, the devaluation of out currency and a corrupt government that doesn’t know how to handle the nation.
Our currency, the bolívar fuerte, is practically worthless. Here, one (1) dollar is worth around 100.000 Bs. f. the minimum wage is 456.507 Bs. f. a month. I, a full time worker (8 hours per day), make less than 5 dollars a month.
Because the national production is dead, almost everything is imported. Which means the cost of products depends on the value of the $. So basic goods can cost half your salary.
All of this, of course, increases the violence, insecurity and corruption rates as well. Caracas (our capital), Valencia and Maturín made it to the top 10 “most violent cities in the world”. Cumaná (Where I live) is number 24.
Basically, you can’t own anything without being at risk of getting robbed/kidnaped/killed, you can’t save money because the devaluation/inflation moves too fast, you can’t eat well because you can’t afford it, you can’t get sick becausethere’s no medicine and hospitals are in shambles.
We literallydon’t even have cash,because we need too many bills to buy anything and the demand is too high.

I stayed for the longest, hopeful that maybe things would change, but nothing happened and things are just getting worse.
For that and more, I, along with two close friends, have decided to leave Venezuela and settle in Perú, to help our families from outside.
“The bolivar is so devalued that sending only a fraction of a month’s salary to a relative in Venezuela can amount to millions of bolivars. For example, the minimum wage in Peru is around US $250. If you send your relative about US $10, they would have three minimum wage monthly salaries” (x).
But before all that we need money. At least $1.500 to pay for the travel (on bus/ 4 days aprox.) and to cover the expenses of a month stay (until we stabilize) in Perú.

im too tired to make a nice and neat polite post so anyway here’s another reminder that mom hasn’t gotten alimony in three months because of my shit eating father and that we couldn’t pay our mortgage this month because of it and nobody fucking cares and we keep getting told “lol well you need to pay your bills” like we just have 900$ extra dollars sitting around under a rock somewhere so if you’d like to keep my anemic ass from being homeless that would be cool!!!!!
we don’t know whats going on with the alimony aside from apparently there’s a chance the courts wont do anything and chris can just get away with not paying alimony indefinitely.
the guy we have the house with is saying we’re two months behind on the mortgage (we’re not) and i don’t know whats gonna happen with that.
until we can get something sorted with the alimony i need as much help as i can get. if i can at least raise what I need for december’s payment (currently: $200 out of $1000) that would help out to show we’re trying to keep the mortgage paid up, and we can let the attorneys here in FL duke it out about the other month since we’re not two months behind. (for clarification, what he’s doing is racking up our lateness by the days, since we’ve had times where we haven’t had the money to him right on the first.)

Yes, this is for my daughter’s transplant funds as outlined in the GFM. We will need to uproot ourselves for 3-4 months, and to do so on short notice. Unless a qualifying living donor comes along, in which case we may be able to ctually schedule and plan a bit.
However, as you may have seen in other iterations of this post, we seem to be constantly in the negative. Too many bills, not enough money, no matter how hard I try to change that. Trying to keep a functioning household is expensive. And it’s important to keep a level of functioning: washer/dryer, car (some months we have one regular therapy appointment for her brother; other times we have one appointment every weekday). Post-transplant we need a transplant safe environment, which means as close to hospital clean as I can make it.
My daughter was molested by my ex husband. We live in a house owned by his family. Threats to evict us occur regularly.
We want to move out of here, away from their control, but we’re lucky to survive here.
I know it’s asking a lot to ask random, probably equally broke, people on the Internet to rescue us.
But I find I can’t give up the hope.

We are supposed to go back to Seattle Children’s Hospital for a yearly check in/checkup (good idea but also required to keep her on the transplant list).
I desperately need everyday things like razors and chapstick. If y’all are generous enough I’d like to get some new glasses too. The ones I have work well enough but they’re scratched to hell and the prescription is outdated.
Literally anything helps and I’d be eternally grateful to anyone who even shares this post.

I had an agreement to become roomates w one of my “friends” after being homeless for 3 months trying to make it motel to motel and she originally said that my dogs were okay but once we got there changed everything…she making me pay and extra $150 a week on top of $1000 rent and I’ve been trying to figure out how to do all this cus it’s fucking cold outside and I cannot deal with the stress out literally being outside this winter.
