We are pleased to announce the launch of Chana’s Torah: a Torah Scroll which we will begin to write and finish writing in Greenville, the city which was Chana’s home for most of her life.
hi guys, i posted about this a little while ago; my former chabad family in south carolina recently lost their oldest daughter to brain cancer, and they are starting a fund to have a torah scroll inscribed in her honor. the kesselmans are an incredibly sweet family who have hosted me at their table many times; they are the primary organizers of most jewish activity in the greenville area, which has a very small jewish population. their 7-year-old chana (z”l) was a sweet, smart little girl who looked out for her younger siblings and was always quick to help in the home and to learn new things.
i know we just got past holocaust remembrance day and everyone is emotionally worn out, but if you feel compelled to donate to the kesselmans or share this post it would mean a lot. thanks
Hey, Tumblr I’m really sorry to have to make another one of these posts but, I’m still really struggling to make ends meet, get food and keep my meters on during this horrible month and on top of that, my rent is due soon (31st). Long story short, I’m currently on benefits and just before Christmas, my benefit was sanctioned and reassessed due to my mental illnesses, my U.C benefit comes back at the end of January, which will be just under £200 (most of which will go towards paying my rent and overdue bills) and I won’t receive any other sort of financial aid until the end of February. At the current moment, I really need help to keep my heating/lights on and buy groceries.
I understand that everyone is struggling but even just £1/$1 makes such a difference. And if you don’t agree with this post or “e-begging” please don’t comment/send hate. Just ignore this and be kind.

All right, people! It’s getting to be that time again. OK, so it’s a little early, but booking travel plans early means better rates.
MY DAUGHTER IS GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL!!! Oh, uh, and there’s a possible better job opportunity back home and the man-thing has never been there, so is refusing to even talk about it until I drag him out there.
Today marks a year, officially, from when Mom was admitted to the hospital for her stroke. Yesterday was a year since she had the stroke.
My nerves were raw and through the roof as yesterday Mom called in sick to work (I just about lost my MIND) but it was just a stomach ache. I stayed up all night to make absolute certain that I could wake her up if necessary.
It was not necessary.
A year ago it was a struggle to wake her up. Today she woke up on her own without even needing the alarm clock and went in to work.
It went a long way toward easing my anxiety.
There are more milestones to come but I feel better about them now.
And it has been a YEAR of ups and downs, folks.
Mom has adjusted to being back at work so the cranky is mostly gone. This coming week is the Pastor’s Conference however so HOLY BEACHNUTS BATMAN it’s gonna be crazy, LONG hours. Which is good for the wallet but not so good for Mom’s mood.
We’re still in financial straits because even with insurance healthcare is EXPENSIVE and we owe the hospital serious bucks.
So obviously the GoFundMe remains open.
My etsy shop is on vacation until February 1st.
But! I’m always open for commissions of fics, craft work, or drawing a cartoon jellyfish.
Fingers crossed that we can pay off the hospital by this time next year folks.
Hi everyone and fuck you to the pornbots, as you may know or not, this is my last year of college. My legal name is Ethan, in here I just prefer Suco, and I’m an HIV positive nb mexican gay sex worker who right now really needs some help, you know, just a regular person trying to get somewhere in life.
To put it simply, my computer just failed, the graphics card and the battery apparently died and it’s gonna cost a me some major bucks which I do not have because I’m already trying to get money to pay for my graduation documents and the last semester tuition, along with the credit I owe to the school, both which I managed to defer to a later due date, my ass is roughly trying to haul 1798.41 dollars, for the past five years I’ve been making ends meet with some hunger and whatnot with the debt mounting, but studied and all.
I use my laptop for everything, particularly because I’m always out and in external businesses, due to my school practices, where they don’t have the software needed. I just need to raise 417.20 dollars, near 8000 in mexican pesos to pay for the repairs, if you could spare something, like seriously anything, that’s all I really need, and all your little helps together can get me where I need to.
Please please, is my last year and I am so overwhelmed with practices and making tuition, every little aid helps. If you wanna donate more and help me pay my school fees I really thank you thank you in advance, but anything is fine, I mean it.

As some of you already know, I’ve fallen on some very hard times recently. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, on top of my major depression and constant anxiety. Because of this, I’ve been forced to take a break from school and I am unable to hold down a job. I have no money to get medication and the help I need, and things like groceries, gas and other bills are unable to be paid. I’m worried I may lose my apartment and have nowhere else to go.
I hate to beg, but I’m desperate. I need some money to help me get through the next month or so until I adjust to new medications and try to sort out my life.

Hey all, I’ll try to keep this brief, as many of you may or may not know, I’ve been struggling a lot these past few months with my government, benefits, and reassessments. It’s absolutely freezing in my home due to the heavy snow we’ve just had in Scotland and my gas/electricity meters are rapidly running out, my gas literally has pennies left in it now and it’s almost out along with my electricity. The small amounts that I’ve been able to put into my meters keep being used up quicker than I can handle and I’m getting really desperate now for help. If they go out, I won’t be able to stay warm or eat.
If anyone can spare anything at all to help me get by, even just a £1/$1, please consider it.

Four years ago Mariana lost her leg to a reckless driver in North Carolina. She left the hospital with a prosthetic in 2012, but has not had the financial means to maintain or replace it. The now cracked, ill-fitting, prosthetic causes her unimaginable pain when she walks, which effectively limits...
so! almost an exact year to the day since my grandmother died due to NHS negligence (don’t worry, we’re making a formal complaint) and three months after i was rushed to A&E for stress, causing my body to flip out and collapse me unconscious….my aunt (not the terrible one) just called from hospital to tell my mother and i that she had two heart attacks yesterday! one at home and another in the hospital!
she’s alive and has two stents in her heart now but due to the nature of the surgery and the fact that she suffered two, quick succession heart attacks, she’s going to need 24 hour care for two weeks and then further care for another two weeks. my mother and i, being the people that cared for my grandmother and being the only people with the keys to her house are the only people able to do all the proper cleaning, cooking, dietary changes, etc.
my aunt, however, lives in kent and we live in london. my mother is also in classes that she can’t afford to miss and we have two cats that cannot be taken to kent with us (aunt’s cat has medical problems), so we’ve decided rather than both staying at my aunt’s house to take it in rota, with me being the main carer.
now to the crux of the matter: travel is fucking expensive as hell and so is food. i can cover my travel and food, but not comfortably at all (because no-one anticipated this, duh).
it would really help me out if anyone could chuck some change our waybc i forsee a Very Rough Month, emotionally, physically, and financially.
