My name is Kayla, I’m 22, and I have acute myeloid leukemia, with a rare genetic mutation called DNMT3A that shortens my lifespan.

Because of my type of leukemia, combined with my mutation, I require a bone marrow transplant to hopefully be cured from this horrible disease.

Unfortunately, this is going to require my family and I to move across the country to Minneapolis to receive my necessary treatment. This treatment and recovery could take around 4-6 months.

I’ve tried my best to keep my cancer off this blog, but I am in need of help now. The medical & living expenses, on top of possibly having to rent a car in Minneapolis, groceries, and travel for my Dad (who has to stay in Florida) to come visit, are going to be a bit painful.

I hate asking for money, and I don’t want anyone to feel pressured. If you could at least pray for me during this process and share this post, I would be eternally grateful!

Every dollar counts towards something crucial for my family and I in this process. If you’d like to donate, the link is below!

Hey guys. My name is Lori. I am from Peru and, sadly my country is having a really hard time right now. It’s the hottest summer we’ve had in decades and rain pours like never before and rivers have been rising and it’s causing flooding and mudslides in rural and urban areas of Peru, especially in the north area of the country. Thousands of houses, animals and people have been affected by this natural disasters. Our infrastructure is not prepared for this kind of weather. The saddest part, this is mostly affecting the poorest people. In the places a little more far away from the rivers, we haven’t had water for days and in some places no electricity as well, and even supermarkets have ran out of bottled water. Highways are flooded too and it’s difficult to transfer from one place to another. Clases have been also cancelled. Please, if you could donate even $1 to help people out it would mean the world. The whole country is on state of emergency right now. Here’s an organization where you can donate.

If you can not donate, please signal boost this so more people can see it. Thank you!

PLEASE DON’T FORGET ABOUT US

PLEASE HELP US, THING ARE GETTING OUT OF CONTROL AND SADLY OUR GOVERNMENTS WORK IS NOT ENOUGH
THERE IS LITERALLY NO WATER OR ELECTRICITY IN SO MANY PLACES
WE MIGHT NOT BE PARIS OR NEW YORK BUT OUR PEOPLE, MY PEOPLE, NEED YOU.

Please, donate as much as you can. I’ve seen an Uber option to send help, PLEASE USE IT OR ANY OTHER MEANS. In the northern part of Peru we’re registering high temperatures, it is unbearable, yet we have to put up with it, we have NO WATER (5 days now) and we only get it from tanker trucks, they fill our buckets or whatever we have to carry the water (I’ve been carrying water two days in a row, and we were told this situation will go on til next Sunday) and we take them home and in the countryside people have been evacuated in helicopters because of potential floods due to the increase of river flow. Many people had to abandon everything they had, many of them are poor and have nowhere to go.

Added to all of this, we have to deal with the incompetence of our regional authorities and mayors, who did NOTHING to prevent this chaos, we don’t have a contingency plan. As a bonus, our defective urban design causes the rain water to be stuck for days, in this is dangerous in places with no asphalt (like José Leonardo Ortiz district in Chiclayo), since that water represents a threat to the public health.

Also, we have no access to other regions for the moment, since the driveway was invaded by the overflowed rivers. As a consequence, the price of nearly everything has risen.

PERU NEEDS YOU, WHETHER YOU’RE FROM NEW ZEALAND, SPAIN, JAPAN OR GERMANY, PLEASE HELP MY COUNTRY. MORE THAN 60 PEOPLE ARE DEAD BY NOW, AND THE NUMBER WILL INCREASE; MAYBE NOT FROM THE HUAYCOS (Mudslides) THAT DRAG PEOPLE (Like a woman two days ago in Punta Hermosa, she survived; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za4fJWGfSKA), BUT FROM THE DISEASES THAT EVENTUALLY WILL TAKE OVER THE POPULATION. SEND SUPPLIES, WATER AND CANNED FOOD, TO PIURA, LAMBAYEQUE, TRUJILLO, TUMBES AND LIMA.

I don’t think there’s any coverage about my country being wrecked by different natural disasters for months now on international media. Please be sure to spread this message. This our cry for help. We need all the donations that we can receive. If there’s any way for you to send food and water, or even donate a couple bucks for the most affected, please, do it. WE NEED YOUR HELP. If you can not donate, SHARE THIS ON FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, TUMBLR AND EVERY SOCIAL NETWORK YOU HAVE. Spread the word, help us to get the world know what’s going on, so other governments and more people can lend a hand to us.#ElPeruTeNecesita #PeruNeedsYou

If you don’t know me already, my name is Ship. I’m a disabled, trans, single parent of an autistic preschooler. In January of 2015, ActionTot and I moved back in with my widowed mother to get out of an abusive home. Because I can’t work, we’re currently depending on her social security/disability check to get us through the month. We receive no financial assistance from my husband.

My mother’s house is beginning to fall apart. Our car needs a new engine. It feels like every time we get one thing fixed, something else needs replacing. I would go out and get a job if I was physically capable, but I’m not. Besides having to take care of ActionTot–he’s a loving, adorable, energetic handful–I have intractable epilepsy and PTSD, in addition to generalized anxiety and being on the spectrum, myself. Mom doesn’t work because she’s had several mini-strokes, in addition to severe migraines.

Life is stressful. Even though all three of us are currently insured, we still have medications to pay for. My psychiatrist doesn’t accept insurance, at all, so every visit is an out-of-pocket expense. ActionTot has multiple therapies to attend per week; between the three of us, we use the car frequently, and gas and maintenance aren’t exactly cheap. I receive food assistance, but that only covers ActionTot and myself. With the Trump administration bound and determined to kill the poor, Mom and I are constantly terrified that we’re going to lose all of the social programs that we desperately need to survive.

I feel like I’m begging, but I don’t know how else to ease the financial burden beyond asking for your help. If you’re able to, there are several ways that you can do so.

  1. Purchase something from our family’s Amazon wishlist. Primarily, these are incidentals (shampoo, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc), small appliances, and clothes and therapy toys for ActionTot.
  2. Send me a tip via Ko-fi. This is the money I use to buy what I need for myself. Right now, I’m saving up for a good pair of shoes. (It also helps fuel my writing, and I let myself occasionally buy small things when I reach therapy goals.)
  3. Join Swagbucks using my referral link. I use Swagbucks as my search engine and earn points for free, then trade those in for Amazon giftcards. I’ve never paid for anything on that site, and all I do is use it like Google.
  4. Share this post!

I know how annoying it can be to see posts like this, and I never thought I’d be writing one, but my family needs help.  You’re awesome for not just scrolling by. Thank you so much for reading. I appreciate your time. <3

A very violent act of misogyny took place in Guatemala, and unfortunately, the girls are still not safe. The surviving girls were sent to another facilities, and their families still want absolutely no contact with them. Hate against women and girls can lead death, which is why it’s important to tackle the issues of misogyny.

Orphan outreach is a donation organization dedicated to helping the victims. You can donate here.

Hi!

my name is Gilbert and I got a job offer with my current company to move to the east coast. However, as expected with big moves (from California to Massachusetts) there is a very large cost involved. Additionally, I’m living in a hotel with my disabled mother and our small dog. Most of our money ( from my job and my moms disability) goes toward shelter at our current living arrangement, and sometimes more. Which is where this fundraiser comes in.

If you can help, please consider it. If you aren’t able, that’s ok, but any signal boost is appreciated.

Please please help Gil if you can!!! He works so hard and he takes such good care of his mom, who is also amazing and the sweetest woman. They really really deserve this opportunity. And Max is my little puppy son who deserves to be spoiled in the breezy Boston air!!

I’m supposed to move in less than three weeks but I’m not even close to enough money for a new place. If you can donate please do. If you’re unable, I understand, but if you can share please do.

So just to put down a holding fee on this place will take a lot more money than I have. Sigh. Please help if you can.
