Both you and @unicorn-and-bluebells asked me this one!
Sad thing is idk if there is one?? I guess Mackinaw Island fudge? Fudge is a huge deal on the island and in the U.P. in general. There are a lot of shops that sell it around the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, which is the last place I went and got some on a trip up north a couple years ago. I live in the L.P. so I don’t have access to it, which is a shame. I lived in the U.P in high school tho.
Apart from fudge, idk there’s green stuff? It’s like cottage cheese and lime jello and crushed pineapple? Sometimes there’s mini marshmallows in it? And whipped cream? Listen, I know it sounds awful, but it is delicious.
Is jello cake a regional thing? You bake like a sheet cake and then stab in with a fork all along the top and pour jello solution on it. I think you put it in the fridge to set? Idk it’s moist and it tastes like whatever jello flavor you use. I haven’t had jello cake in ages. You put whipped cream on it instead of frosting.
Both jello cake and green stuff (tho sometimes the stuff is orange or red or pink) are both staples of church potlucks.
