DeRay McKesson, a prominent #BlackLivesMatter activist, was arrested during the Baton Rouge protests
McKesson, who was one of hundreds marching the Airline Highway for Alton Sterling, a black man killed by police officers while selling CDs outside of a store, was livestreaming on Periscope at the time of his arrest. #FreeDeray is now trending nationwide and many are calling out that the violation McKesson was charged with is both ridiculous and untrue.
