Okay so adjacent to that post about Cardassian hatchlings forming fecal sacs:
Do you picture them as altricial (like baby songbirds) or precocial (like ducklings)?
Are they toddlers once they hatch or do they go through a phase similar to human infants?
I tend toward precocial toddlers, but I am curious if anyone has thoughts!!
Cardassians getting broody like chickens. Moody and grumpy and fixing themselves little nests. Central Command expects every citizen to get gravid during this process, but some people don’t want that many kids (or any kids) so there is a whole underground trade in super realistic fake eggs to sit on until the broodiness fades.
love whenever they give the cardassian characters their special Unhinged wigs where very suddenly that rock solid carpet of hair on their head suddenly acts like real hair and gets in their face and flies around everywhere for dramatic effect
odo gets this too actually like its so noticable in the ep where he trashes his room and quark gives him a talk abt women or whatever and the ascent like the whole show its just slicked back and completely unmoved but in that ep and the ascent they like fucked w it a little bit and gave him a stray strand of hair just for the drama of it all
