With final exams on the horizon, Donnell Marcus Phelps was all set to finish his freshman year at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.
The 19-year-old from Marshallville had been studying agricultural engineering technology but also found time to manage the university’s tennis team.

Late Tuesday afternoon he witnessed a man harassing three young ladies. The man was touching these girls in a very inappropriate way, so he decided to step in. However, he was forced to bring fists to a knife fight.
An autopsy showed Phelps was stabbed four times in the upper torso with a pocket knife with a 3.5-inch blade.
“Words cannot describe the pain that we all feel in the Fort Valley State community,” university President Paul Jones said at news conference, offering condolences to Phelps’ family, friends, students and the entire community.
Johnson described Phelps as selfless: “He always gave us hugs, and he’d always check up on us,” she added to the Telegraph.
Donnell Phelps died a hero. His Mom did an incredible job raising an amazing person. God bless this young man for his sacrificial act of bravery. His life matters.
Only 19 years old and died protecting women in a day and age when people will literally be bystanders & shut an eye to someone else being harmed. Beyond brave and this is so heart breaking.
Please, read this story told by the real guy, who witnessed everything on his own. He is not from BLM. He’s not a hater. But these situations made him almost cry over the unfairness. This is outrageous! How can our world carry such bastards who glory in their strength, who abuse their power? In September India Kager, a 27-year-old Navy veteran from College Park, Maryland, was sitting with her boyfriend and 4-month-old son, Roman.
Perry was a “person of interest” in a homicide, according to the police. They additionally claim that they had “confidential information” that he “was going to” commit a “violent crime.” But that’s about all they’re willing to say at this time to justify the incident.
Kager had nothing to do with her boyfriends crimes – past or future.
However, officers began firing rounds that killed both Perry and Kager, indiscriminately. The baby, however, managed to survive – no thanks to the police who sprayed bullets wildly a the car.
Police didn’t explain anything and no justice for her daughter happened, so she is begging for it.

This is what I like to see - police officers that are actually woke and support Black Lives Matter movement. This also goes to show that it’s not that hard to be a good person and a good cop. Unfortunately a lot of his colleagues don’t share the same way of thinking with him and not only do they embarrass themselves, they make us think that there are no decent officers left who actually will to protect people and not abuse them.
