Artist Alison Moritsugu collects fallen
logs and lets them dry out for up to
10 years so they can be well-preserved
once she adorns them with beautifully
painted landscapes. She imagines her
series as a way to explore the
juxtaposition of having an image of
nature embedded into actual nature.
Stunning Macro Shot Photography Reveal All Snowflakes are Unique by Alexey Kljatov
Russian photographer Alexey Kljatovis an artist and photographer who continuously updates his series entitled Snowflakes and Snow Crystals. Kljatov takes stunning macro shots of natural snowflakes and hoarfrost crystals outside the house.
With a Canon A650 with a custom-built macro add-on, the photographer is able to capture the geometric beauty of each snowflake. Under the intense shot, he reveals that no two snowflakes look the same.
Lars Anderson studied historical manuals and rediscovered an ancient and extremely fast way of firing arrows from a bow, making icons like Legolas and Katniss look like slugs.
He trained himself to be able to perform such feats as firing three arrows in less than a second, catching an arrow and firing it back, splitting an oncoming arrow in two, and basically debunking all the lies hollywood has fed us about “ultimate archery skills”
HOLY CRAP historical archery is SO MUCH COOLER than anything out there now.
