Crows normally walk. This one seems to have both legs working, so he’s not hopping out of necessity, he’s doing it for fun. Corvids can sometimes be seen doing things like this for no evident reason other than enjoyment.
Before sunrise yesterday with bird song and bullfrogs. Among other birds I could name if you’re interested I think there’s a yellow-breasted chat singing. I didn’t think any were nesting there but they must be.

ooo Northern Cardinal! We have many of them here! Theyre so bright and pretty and I like their songs even tho they can be kinda piercing. The other day on a walk, my son and I came across one singing up in a tree. We watched it for a while and then continued walking. We could hear it much farther than I expected!!
