I genuinely from the bottom of my heart do not care if someone is actually faking being trans. that’s between them and God. it’s not my business or problem. weird of certain people to be so obsessed with the looming spector of the fake trans. just call them what they ask you to call them and move on lol
idk i’d rather get “played” by someone faking being trans (which i’m still not convinced is a thing) than actually misgender someone. like it’s really not that big a deal.

first of all! there were definitely disabled people in star trek, not a lot, but they were there (geordi, nog, melora* off the top of my head)
and when you talk about “curing” people, are you perhaps referring to something like the illegal procedure done on one julian bashir? the kind of medical intervention that was specifically banned as a result of the eugenics wars?

No, we would still have had to deal with the Delta variant, because neither Trump nor Biden showed any interest in distributing US vaccine stockpiles internationally during the early months when it could have had the greatest impact in dampening Delta’s spread throughout India. Public health experts explicitly warned policymakers at the time that this vaccine nationalism would enable the global spread of variants. But this explanation doesn’t let anyone in America feel superior to anyone else, so it won’t catch on
Pfizer and Moderna have quite literally raised their vaccine prices after learning their vaccines are more effective against variants and are set to make 41 billion dollars more than it costs to make the vaccine.
