when dukat’s like “have you ever seen a dead man before” and odo says “yes, in your mines.” And dukat’s just like. “psh, those are just casualties, THIS is murder.” And just like. What a perfectly succinct way to illustrate the two and their attitudes in one neat little exchange.

also I know it was a thing that happened clearly but it’s still so weird to imagine odo working under dukat. Like having to report to him and shit. so strange to have this glimpse into what a bizarre dynamic these two must have had

can Odo talk when he’s in goo mode? Or when he’s like a chair or whatever? What is actually making the sounds? He doesn’t really need his mouth to talk, right? So? How does he talk?

I feel like odo always sees kira as his one and only reason for staying on ds9 (other than writers being annoying) is because shes the only person he is in an established relationship with that has commitments and explicitly stated feelings. Everyone else is obviously friends with him but ‘friend’ is a far more loosely defined term than girlfriend so its more difficult to ascertain whether people who say they are is friends mean that in a deep established i want you to stsy way, especially as hes someone with a history of trust issues
