It’s just that she had just decided to leave! Kira would be her mom and she’d go on dates with Jake so Sisko would grow to be her Dad too and Julian and Garak would be here uncles and she’d live on the station and work in Garak’s shop until she figured out what she wanted to do and she would love all the people whom she risked her life to save and they would love her back and she’d have had a very full life! And the only reason it got taken away from her is that instead of staying safely hidden away she went to say goodbye to her father. Who she loved even though she knew he couldn’t be in her life,
