Because no one expected DS9 to be so strategically important as it turned out to be, the original senior staff is laughably unqualified. Like, arguably the most qualified people are Dax and Obrien, as they have the most years of experience, even then Jadzia was freshly joined and Obrien is a non-com, technically not even an officer. Sisko wasn’t even a ranking captain, Kira had no formal training whatsoever, and Bashir literally graduated like two weeks ago.

#wait#are you telling me#that the person on the station#with the most intergalactic military experience#is#is GARAK? [x]

Dremi Tinuthe has been many things, a soldier, a freedom fighter, a monk, a terrorist, and now he has been elevated to Vedek. The things he saw were terrible but the prophets guided his steps and he is building a life in the Dahkur Province, hoping to concentrate on rebuilding the faith in the hills there. But theres a problem. A very beautiful problem.

Vorne Eelke was a refugee and a laborer and nothing else. Even as she works as an archivist in the the Dahkur temple, the shadows of Cardassian Rule dog her every step. She doesnt have anything in common with this privileged vedek, her life didnt allow room for his lesiure or his faith, and she can’t Stand having to have him lecture her on the finer precepts, not having been tested like her. But if thats true, how come his eyes follow her even in her dreams? How come he was there in her vision from the Orb?

I’ve spoken about Cardassian Trashy Literature, how about Bajoran Trashy Literature?

My brain trying to remember the name of the pig in Charlotte’s Web:

Brain: Orson!

Me: it’s not Orson. That’s the pig from Garfield.

Brain: Orson Orson Orson Orson

Wait!

I’ve got it!

BABE!

Me: *facepalm* You know both of those are wrong, eh? Hmm? Babe is the pig from, you know, THE MOVIE BABE!!

Anyway, many thanks to @stopthatbluecat for remembering Wilbur.

Julian gets adopted into Martok’s family and Garak has to go through Sirella’s trials to marry him. My man thrives because it’s basically just like little exercises from his old academy days.

Sirella is utterly enchanted by him; he makes her stunning clothes, gifts her fine weaponry, and they have gossipy brunch

Julian would be like, “I am NOT having a Klingon bachelor party tho, I need to eat, I am simply too skinny to go so long without food. Garak and Sirella can do whatever weird shit they want tho”

And they would
