the purplish-backed jay is a large member of the corvid family, native to northwestern mexico. this jay has a large beak and somewhat resembles its crow relatives. the purplish-backed jay is distinctly colored, with yellow legs, purple wings, tail and back, and black elsewhere (juveniles have yellow beaks). they live in small groups consisting of parents and their offspring in dry, deciduous forests.

Okay here’s a story to cheer you up

So while the cashier was ringing me up at Walmart

I’m tired AF, right

and this little six-year-old ADORABLE CHILD WITH GLASSES

walks up to the cashier with a thing of M&M’s, and says “Can you scan it now so I can start eating it?”

and the cashier, who is TIRED AS FUCK, just does it

Then the kid walks back to his dad, who is TIRED AS FUCK, and just stands there innocently

NONE of us realized what he did

until my brain processed the situation in slow-mo

and finally I was like “Wait.  That’s not mine.”

and I meant THE M&MS

but the Dad said “No, it’s mine” and picked up his son

and I was like “NO, the M&Ms that he just put on my tab”

and the dad looked and saw his son holding the candy

and the cashier looked at the dad

and I looked at them

and we all looked at this kid

who just pulled a fast one on three exhausted adults

and we all started laughing

and then the cashier was like “I’ll just take that off your order”

and he goes “Man, I’m not as sharp as I used to be”

and I said “Yep, you just fell for the tricks of that criminal master mind”

and he finally smiled

And that is why I like humans today.
