a three panel pencil comic, background colored mustard-yellow digitally. The three panels are of Garak and Bashir leaning towards each other, only shown from their shoulders up. Panel one has Bashir frowning, brow furrowed at Garak. Garak is smiling slightly without it reaching his eyes, which are half lidded, and he asks Bashir, "Doctor, do you trust me?" In panel two, Julian is surprised, eyes wide, mouth open, and he says "Oh! No! No, not at all! Noβ€”Ha! Why would I? No, I mean...Absolutely not." Garak's shoulders are raised, and he's looking at Bashir with shock, almost a little bit of horror. His mouth is open in a tiny frown. In panel three, Bashir is tugging at his collar and turning away, pointedly not looking at Garak. There's the implication of a light blush on his cheeks. "I don't trust you, BUT if I did, I would trust you to act as I know you wouldβ€”which isn't trust as much as familiarity if you think about it, really." Bashir defends himself. Garak, staring wide-eyed, says "oh dear." quietly, to himself. Bashir continues, unerring: "It's only trust in the way that perhaps a sailor trusts a read sky; to warn of a storm, not to sail it."ALT
Another comic in the same exact style as the first, with the same exact opening image. Panel one has Bashir frowning, brow furrowed at Garak. Garak is smiling slightly without it reaching his eyes, which are half lidded, and he asks Bashir, "Doctor, do you trust me?" Panel two has Bashir raising his hand up, smiling at Garak now, eyebrows still furrowed, but almost incredulously. "No," Bashir says, then asks, "is that what you want to hear?" Garak's raised his chin up, and is smiling at Bashir with wide eyes. "Just so," he replies. Panel three has Bashir leaning onto his raised hand, so that his chin is braced on it. He's smiling, his eyebrows are raised but his eyes are affectionately narrowed. "Well then, MISTER Garak, You'll be pleased to learn..." he begins, "...that I wouldn't trust you at my back with a tennis racket." Garak is repressing a small grin, and his own eyes are half closed, equally affectionately. They're leaning very close to each other now. "My dear," Garak replies, "that's positively paranoid." He doesn't seem to be disapproving.ALT
