Disabled minors/minors with chronic conditions,
you're not a financial drain on your family. You are not a financial burden to your family. You deserve the care you need without needing to feel guilty for it.
To clarify, because it clearly is the case that chronic conditions come with financial burdens: You aren't a financial burden on your family. Your government is responsible for imposing the financial burden on people with chronic illnesses/disabilities and/or their caretakers. Civilised societies are supposed to take care of people who need help. Don't blame yourself, blame the Man.
not just minors. some people need to live with family forever. some people will never get a job, because of ableism or simply because their disability prevents it, and you should never feel guilty for that. you should never be expected to give up essential care just because you’re an adult, nor stigmatized for needing others. that’s capitalist bullshit.
