monkeypox can be spread through sex, its true, but i've seen way too many people making light of the situation, jokes like "oh lol nothing to worry about im a virgin!" or "well im not having gay sex so" and lowering their guard, when according to the who "Monkeypox spreads from person to person through close contact with someone who has a monkeypox rash, including through face-to-face, skin-to-skin, mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-skin contact, including sexual contact. [...] Environments can become contaminated with the monkeypox virus, for example when an infectious person touches clothing, bedding, towels, objects, electronics and surfaces. Someone else who touches these items can then become infected.  It is also possible to become infected from breathing in skin flakes or virus from clothing, bedding or towels. This is known as fomite transmission." and it can also be spread from animals to humans, rodents being one of the possible animal hosts.

be careful, check your symptoms, isolate if neccessary, and remember that anyone can get or pass on monkeypox.
