Just a reminder, since I got some boot lickers in my notes today: fuck cops. All cops. Fuck the institution of policing itself.

The function of the police is to enact state sanctioned violence as punishment against people, disproportionately marginalized people, which neither prevents future crimes nor repairs the harm done by past crimes.

What does it mean to be a "good cop" when that is the function of being a cop? How does one be a good cop when the job that cops do *is bad*?

We don't need good cops, we need fewer cops. As few as possible, honestly, especially when it comes to cops on patrol.

Defund- minimize the duties and responsibilities and powers snd numbers of the police as much as possible, and instead fund community programs and services that fulfill the needed roles *without* the authority or expectation of violence.

And keep those fuckers away from Pride.
