The U.S. kinda has this too. Like our milk also comes in pints, quarts, and gallons. But pop? Ounces! Until it gets large enough, then it’s liters. Orange juice comes in half gallons and gallons, but most shelf-stable juice goes by ounces and liters again. But it will have both measurements on the label.
We measure distances in miles generally. But I am from the Midwest, so I also measure in time. “How is far Detroit from here?” “Three hours” Things like track and field races are measured in yards and kilometers, but football is measured in inches and yards.
That’s all the every day things I can think of rn.
Cooking is all measured in spoons and cups, unless you’re Alton Brown and you weigh everything. Then it is ounces or grams, whatever your scale does.
